May 2013 {Pictures}

This month has been quite uneventful in terms of going out. Most of my time was spent at university trying to finish my degree… (Picture taken of fountains in front of uni).

I went to Clerkenwell Design Week…

The Great Gatsby

I went to see The Great Gatsby in the cinema. That was fun.

Candy Cupcakes

I went to Candy Cupcakes – A super cute cupcake shop in Covent Garden. It was cute.

At the end of the month I had a chance to go to the Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising. [x]

The Cloud Leopard Returns

What is The Cloud Leopard Returns?

‘Having been on quite a journey since it wowed the Collect crowds at the Saatchi gallery last May, the Cloud Leopard is set to make a pit stop from its European tour and return to its Clerkenwell home..’ – Craft Central

The Cloud Leopard by Nahoko Kojima returns to Clerkenwell where is occupies a humble space in the midst of  Clerkenwell.

It is in a small open space with the paper sculpture in the centre of the room stealing the attention of the visitors as it stands out for the white washed walls. Information is located on the wall beside the door and there is smaller room which connects to the main room. This small room displays a small collection of other paper artwork by Nahoko Kojima and a video clip playing on a screen explaining the process the artist took.

I came by this purely by chance as I was exploring Clerkenwell Design Week. It was a pleasant surprise as it was an amazing piece to look at and try to comprehend; but also this little exhibit allowed me to see something away from the fast-paced nature of CDW.
